The 4th Materials Research Meeting 2025 (MRM2025) was held from December 8 to 13, 2025, at the Pacifico Yokohama North in Yokohama, Japan. Hosted by the Materials Research Society of Japan (MRS-J), this premier international event brought together over 1,700 participants from 38 countries.

The WoundSens Project had the privilege of participating in the prestigious event, thanks to the dedicated team from the Institut Jean Lamour (IJL).

Representing the project, Romain Chevigny delivered an insightful oral presentation titled: “Graphite surface functionalisation in water medium using pulsed plasma: Influence of liquid matrix and gas atmosphere.” His talk focused specifically on the practical application of this technology for the development of the WoundSens smart bandage.

The presentation was an impressive lecture that generated significant interest and sparked engaging discussions among the international audience.

We would like to congratulate the team for their outstanding work and successful participation in this global forum. For those interested in the technical details, the full presentation is now available for consultation through the WoundSens Zenodo community: https://zenodo.org/records/19206508
