On March 26th, the EvoEnzyme team was delighted to host an educational outreach activity designed to bring the world of cutting-edge science closer to a group of high school students.

The visit began with an introductory talk on the power of enzyme engineering. Our team explained how modifying enzymes can lead to high-impact solutions for global challenges, specifically highlighting the WoundSens project. The students learned about the project’s mission and the transformative value it will bring to healthcare and patients.

The highlight of the day was the hands-on experience in the laboratory. The students had the opportunity to see our investigators in action and get a first-hand look at the daily work behind WoundSens. To make the session interactive and didactic, our scientists prepared a series of challenges and brain-teasers based on enzymatic reactions. This allowed the students to practice laboratory techniques while solving scientific riddles in a fun, engaging environment.

It was a fantastic day filled with curiosity and insightful questions. Activities like these demonstrate the immense value of bringing science to young minds, sparking a passion that may well define their future careers.
