On April 13th, Juan Cerrolaza, a key member of the EvoEnzyme team, visited the students of Real Colegio Santa Isabel – La Asunción in Madrid. During an inspiring session, Juan shared his professional journey and the path that led him to become a biotechnologist in the cutting-edge field of enzyme engineering.

The students gained a firsthand look at the daily life of a researcher in the EvoEnzyme laboratories and learned about the various projects currently underway, including the innovative WoundSens project. The prospect of a “smart bandage” sparked immense curiosity among the young audience, leading to a vibrant Q&A session where Juan was delighted to answer their many insightful questions.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the students and the school for their enthusiasm for science and for giving us the opportunity to share the WoundSens vision with the next generation of innovators!
